Controlling the spread of the Moth Plant

A group of 15 Tangaroa College students aged 9-13 years are taking on the challenge! In partnership with Auckland Council, Auckland Botanic Gardens, Manaaki Whenua Landcare Research and Te Hononga Akoranga COMET, the group has initiated the Moth Plant Biological Control Investigation, a strictly controlled and monitored programme researching the moth plant beetle as a possible bio-control agent.

Auckland Botanic Gardens has provided the secure facility and the Freemasons Foundation is also supporting the programme.
