Shakespeare Globe Centre NZ Invigorating Shakespeare - 2026

It’s the Twelfth Night of Much Ado about Romeo & Juliet! Where forty-six exceptional young actors and student directors will engage with the Bard and each other to present fresh takes on Shakespeare’s works with three 40 minutes of scenes from Twelfth Night, Much Ado About Nothing and Romeo and Juliet.
These future stars were chosen from the 5,000 talented rangatahi who participated in the 9 day SGCNZ’s Wellington Regional and National Festivals.
The Freemasons Foundation is proud to be supporting and assisting these rangatahi for their future careers. The Foundation’s Chair, Mark Winger, says:
“We are delighted for this opportunity to provide support that will benefit the community, encouraging excellence in our young, helping them to develop their skills and possibly giving them that first step up to fulfilling their dreams.”
The performances will take place on 2nd October, 7pm at Tawhiri Warehouse in Newtown, Wellington - and 3 October, 7.30pm at VUW Memorial Theatre in Kelburn.
