Chamber Music Contest  

The Freemasons Foundation is proud to support The NZCT Chamber Music Contest – a true national event that celebrated its 60th anniversary this year and provided the opportunity for thousands of secondary school students to perform and enjoy the thrill of making music together.


During the year the District Rounds had progressed across 14 centres nationwide, including the three Regional Finals from which eight ensembles were chosen for the National Finals.

 


Winners for 2025

  • Judith Clark National First Place Award for 2025 was awarded to Nino Rota Trio from Auckland.

  • The Helen Young National Second Place Award went to Vzpomĭnka

  • Joan Kerr National Third Place Award went to The Betwieners.

  • The National KBB Music Award was awarded to Los Piazzolanos

  • The Adjudicators’ Award went to Fellas with Cellas.
