Our programmes with both the NZ Opera and the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra (APO) are youth orientated – giving young talent the opportunity to study and develop to the highest levels.

Singers and instrumentalists have been assisted from our support for the NZ Opera Emerging and Resident Artists and at the Opera School in Wanganui, established by well-known opera personality Donald Trott ONZM.

The Foundation supports the APO Inspire programme – part of the Orchestra’s outreach activity, designed to give young people more access to the Orchestra and Orchestral music. The key audience are secondary and University musicians who have the capability of taking their skills to a higher level. This support has extended in recent years to members of the Auckland Youth Orchestra.
