Teddies for Loving Care’s success has been made possible with the generous support of the Freemasons Foundation along with vital contributions from individuals and Lodges around New Zealand. The Teddies Trust has donated approximately 12,500 teddy bears annually to hospitals throughout New Zealand.
The ‘heart-warming effect’ of their teddies can be measured in numbers - approximately 60,000 teddy bears that have been delivered by March 31, 2023. We know that each bear has a comforting tale to tell, from placing smiles on children's faces to bringing generations together.
In one heart-warming anecdote, a small girl selflessly shared her teddy bear with her grandfather, believing in the animal's healing abilities. Such actions reflect the heart of their purpose, reminding us that compassion has no limitations, even in the face of adversity.
The teddies have brought comfort and friendship in times of difficulty. They have even found their way into relief facilities in the aftermath of severe weather disasters in Auckland and Hawkes Bay, providing a light of hope to families seeking sanctuary.
